MELLOW YELLOW….today’s style photo was inspired by one of my favorite artist, Lady Gaga. “Heavy Metal Lover”, anyone??? This song gives me a hard, rocker edge accompanied by her soft melodic vocals. So, naturally I added the dark, metal rose frame, relaxed button down and bandeau, topped off with a springy pop colored lip.

This week’s post consists of my personal ‘HOW TO’ guide with a little twist. I am constantly fueled by menswear in my daily style while combining it with a dash of femininity. As a hip hop enthusiast, I chose the Ohio native rapper, Stalley as my male fashion inspiration. His style is laid back. He is usually seen in denim, graphics, fitted/snapback hats, plaid and sneakers. With that, I have provided images of Stalley in his natural element and alternative looks for the edgy tomboy, yet girly female. Check it out below…
Here is a compilation of staple pieces that women could use in their wardrobe to achieve the ‘Stalley’ look. It is fun, comfortable and can transition into day and night events. Hats are usually viewed as too boyish, but try snapbacks such as these with bold colors and a hint of femininity with the snake skin/leopard prints. Try pairing it with denim cutoff shorts/destroyed jeans. For a more relaxed look high-top sneakers such as chucks or as shown above the Marc Jacobs can be added.
